I don't understand how to do it >.<

Thanks so much for this!!
I could really improve my coloring thanks to this!!!
Though when I look at your tutorial now I go like :wow: much more awesome!
I'll just have to practice more <3

I do have a question though...
I didn't quite get how to do the eye-candy part (panel 6) It looked really weird on my drawing? Or maybe it was just my lines that were bad ^^;

There was a bit in there where you mentioned warm and cool colors... I'm not sure what you meant, will you explain the difference? >:
Reply
:iconvia-kitten:
Via-Kitten Featured By Owner Nov 9, 2008
Warm colors are generally yellows, reds, oranges, browns while cool colors are blues, greens, purples. The difference is basically how the colors are mixed. For example, a yellow can be warm when its value is closer to an orange-yellow, like sunflowers and can be cool when it's closer to a green hue or grey, like dirty socks. Look up Color Spectrum or Color Wheel online and it will give you a good explanation.

In yer deviation it said green was warm...

green is actually a tone that can be either warm or cool. the same for purple.

For example, there is a yellowish green, like the color of leaves, yes? that's a warm green.

Then there's a green like the color of the sea, leaning a little towards blue. That's a cool green. so, for electric green, depending on the actual shade, you will have to choose which complimentary color you need. :)

Ooo, so can there be cool orange too?

I like orange. :3

:icononefreeinternet:

well there are colors that are trapped in the warm *or* cool side of the spectrum, unfortunately orange is trapped in the warm side. This is because two warm colors: red and yellow, create orange. The same is for magenta, magenta is trapped in the cool side of the spectrum because cyan + red ~ magenta and that's the cool side of the color spectrum

i respect anyone who pays attention to the TRUE colours of the red-head.
Especially when they pimp it out as well as you do ^.^
i LOVE your colouring style, and i love you're educating people on the true-red, electrified as it is ;D cause im tired of seeing bright oranges and crimsons T_T
